Supplier started selling directly to Amazon
I have been doing business with this supplier for 5 years and selling their branded products on Amazon along with other sellers.
Recently they have started selling to Amazon directly, cutting us sellers out without informing us. Amazon being Amazon, sell these products at such a low price that if we match the price we would be losing between £0.50-£1 per sale. That’s more that the actual cost of the products.
It would be more cost effective to just dispose of the inventory. I have more that £5000 invested in stock from this supplier that I cannot sell.
I’m thinking of suing the supplier to recover my investment, I have contacted a couple of solicitor to ask for advice and I will keep you updated. What are your thoughts on this? Does anyone have any previous experience with something similar?
Thank you.

Do you have a contract with the supplier that says they agreed not to sell on Amazon?

My supplier supplies amazon directly - as do many
I and tens if not hundreds of others still sell stock from the same supplier
It is still possible to make sales , you may just have to diversify a little

Well, that is one way to lose more money. Do you have a contract with the supplier? If not then I think you need to recover your losses selling elsewhere.
