Incorrect dimensions after re-measurement FBA

Hi,

Anyone able to advise please re following:

I have sent my items (2 ASINS) to the FBA center. Both items are the exact same dimensions (plastic bottles).

The fees from one item varied to the other between the two asins. So I checked an saw that they have the dimensions different for each item. As the items are in polybags (they contain liquids) does the FBA center go with the polybag size or the actual bottle size? I have no choice but to have them in poly bags (fyi both poly bags are the exact same size so still cant see why there would be a discrepancy in the sizes).

I have raised a ticket asking for re measurement, I attached pics of the bottles next to a ruler covering both asins. This was to show the difference in size they have v actual size and all I got back with a reply that basically said they have had the asins checked and they are correct (not me).

Just to let you know the bottle diameter is 4cm they have one down as 7cm and the other as 8cm width/height. The length of the bottle is 15cm and they have one at 18cm and the other as 21cm.

Anyone advise should they go with actual item size or the poly bags that contain them?
Even then in both instances its incorrect.

they will go with the packaging they are in.

So if you have them in a bag its possible they are measuring the bag as well.

Their cubiscan machine is a nightmare, I’m currently fighting them on a greeting card which they say is 1.7cm thick (Its an item I post as a letter), you could reopen the case and ask them to measure again, but I’m currently on the naughty step and they won’t remeasure that item for 90 days…

Sometimes I think they don’t even bother to remeasure and just come back with the measurements they have on record.

You could maybe try requesting the remeasurements at different times of day hoping it goes through to a different fulfilment centre?

I went through this whole thing methodically for every single one of my cards when I sourced slightly smaller envelopes which meant the package fitted into a lower fee band, it took months (but they do refund going back about 3 months, I think?) I still have one card they never, ever managed to get right so I send it in the old sized, slightly larger envelopes to get my moneys worth :money_mouth_face:
