Unable to list product without brand name, system does not accept N/A any more
Hi
I wanted to launch a new food supplement today, but have not got the brand registered yet. Previously you could just use N/A as a value, but now the system does not accept this value any more.
What can I do to list my product?
Thanks
B

N/A is for generic items which you need approval for certain items.
You will not get this for food supliments as law provents products such as this been sold without a fully traceable source, they need to be registered products.

Hi Peter
I understand what you have said, but since I am the manufacturer of the product and it is a new product then the system will not know whether it is branded or unbranded.
So when I put N/A the system puts a red box around the text field, so what is causing this field to be flagged up? What can I do to make the system accept the value?
Thanks

To me it looks like the system at the moment is only accepting registered brands, because as soon as I put one of my registered trademarks in the field then all is good.
Maybe Amazon has put a cap on N/A branded goods?

Or I can also remove the brand from the label I guess and then it will be a generic item.

I have an account with GS1 and have created GTIN-13 barcodes together with brand and sub-brand.
For example I have registered the product ‘Clinch-It 4" Concrete Post Bracket’ with brand ‘Clinch-It’ and sub-brand ‘Basic’ against GTIN 5065002900005. This was done over 2 weeks ago.
Please advise why I cannot enter the product in Amazon given the previous reply from PeterT.
