Trying to change manufacturer name

Hi All,

I’m currently trying to change my manufacturer name on a listed product.

I accidentally put the brand name as the manufacturer name and have now realised that the brand name needs to be listed as ‘third party seller’ in order to access A+ content.

When I try to change the manufacturer name, I get the following error message:

“The value ‘Manufacturer 2’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value 'Manufacturer 1’ for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN 'B346JB34V8’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).”

Could anyone please help to explain what I have to do, as I don’t fully understand the message.

Thank you!

Not possible to change the Manufacturer name yourself.

You have to create a case with seller support and explain the situation. They will ask to see evidence of the product displaying the brand name and also some evidence of the product displaying the manufacturer name.
