Brand name issue, cannot list products anymore
Hi,
I’m trying to list new items as I did many times in the past but Amazon does not allow it anymore. I am a member of GS1. GS1 account name match the brand I’m trying to list as, but this message pops put:!
I know there is something like brand registry on Amazon. Do I really need register the brand even if my business is registered with HRMC with the same name as my Amazon and GS1 account? For my knowledge it costs the money and I can’t afford at the moment.
When I try to list as generic, this message pops out:

yes - you’ll either need to apply for Brand Approval - no trademark required but your products will need your brand name on
on Brand Registry - with a trademark
If your goods don’t have your brand name on, you’ll need to list as Generic

I have been getting this same message this week trying to list Generic. Last week I listed new items with Generic with no issues, so I’m not sure what is going on.

It’s nice to see the amount of faith everyone has in their efficiency! I’m not holding my breath but surely this will come to their attention at some point since it means nobody can list any products under ‘Generic’?

Still heard nothing back from Amazon. I have items I want to list but am unable to, so frustrating!

I’m going through the process of getting my brand name trademarked in the UK and it’ll take about 12 months and £1000 + VAT.
My products don’t have the brand name printed on them so I can only list as ‘generic’ until I have a trademark.
That’s how I’ve understood the whole process at least…
