UPS Standard Service for FBA - Labels now UPS Saver Service

Hello.

We have sent many SPD Shipments to FBA, the labels generated were always automatically the UPS Standard service which is then what I select on the UPS portal to arrange the collection. Today my shipment labels have come out as UPS Saver service. When I select this service on the UPS portal it is then asking for payment for the collection, I cannot select the Standard service. Maybe this a new thing where we have to pay for the collection? I thought all shipping costs are handled by Amazon? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I think they are trying to push us to use DPD instead. Just a few days ago I sent spd to fba with ups even DPD was cheaper but I choosed ups as usual it was ups standard but when I arranging collection I got error message several times with error code IPA_0152.

It was happen last month too. So then I put only one tracking number instead of all that way how it made work. Also last 3 times ups delivering several boxes and some boxes staying in transit for a long time. For example my parcels collected 12th of September and and only 2/7 delivered. Last time was only 1 box undelivered for a month but now it seems 5 boxes stucked somewhere and I've no idea when they gonna be delivered.

Is anyone else having ups savers label issue, collection issue or late delivery issues?

Hi, Yes, exactly the same has happened for me today, first shipment I've sent this week. Cost has gone up from £2.96 to £4.52 for shipping, label generated as starting 1ZG instead of 1ZJ and saying I have to pay on collection instead of charging my Amazon account. Have you had any info from Amazon about it?

Hello,

I am experiencing the same issue. UPS payment has gone up to £4.52 for shipping and when I try to book collection with UPS it states - Note: Collection charges may apply for the tracking number(s) entered. To avoid additional charges, you may drop your package at a nearby location. This has never happened before as the collection is usually charged to my account. Has anyone received any info from Amazon about this please?

I contacted seller support who looked at my tracking number starting with 1ZG (the tracking number is definitely the problem. The same thing happened a couple of years ago now and seller support kept saying there was no problem, until it was affecting 1000s of sellers and they agreed there was a glitch). Seller support this time said there is no problem with the tracking number and that I should contact UPS direct. I am unable to put the actual email address given to me by seller support into this link but you can translate from this: preferreddgb at ups dot com. May be worth others contacting UPS who may be able to raise it as an issue if Amazon support continue to say there's no problem. Not sure why the cost has gone up - don't recall reading anything about this but may have missed something..

I think it's highly unlikely that UPS are charging for collection, especially when the cost of the carrier still comes up as payable within the shipment creation, as it always did, and will still be charged to sellers by Amazon. The Amazon label is automatically generated when shipment is created, and I print mine from home....

I just yesterday made a post about this exact same thing. I got a response from Amazon

"Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

We understand your request regarding the FBA inbound fees charged to you differently compared with other sellers and price remains same for all categories of weight and packages.

The FBA inbound fee structure is being redesigned to focus on placement strategy and seller behavior rather than just weight.

The fees will be based on multiple factors including: the number of shipment splits, inbound cluster location, placement strategy, and dimensions of the item.

This change aims to improve cost transparency and encourage more efficient supply chain practices.

The new fee structure will charge sellers based on their actual inbound behavior and whether they follow the planned placement strategy.

For example, if sellers deviate from their planned shipment splits or send items to different regions than planned, they will be charged according to their actual actions rather than just item weight. This approach helps Amazon recover costs associated with inventory distribution while incentivizing sellers to optimize their inbound practices.

This strategic shift allows Amazon to be more transparent with sellers about actions they can take to reduce end-to-end supply chain costs."
