UPS missed collection issues
UPS was due to collect 5 cartons yesterday but didn’t show up. No phone call, nothing. I’ve spent over an hour on the phone with support and it sounds like it is based in the Philippines. They said I have to schedule a new order from scratch. Is this normal? Do they not try to come the next day instead?
She couldn’t seem to track much with my order numbers and it seemed like I was getting a new scheduled collection from scratch, with her asking fresh question about my address etc. I was getting concerned that they didn’t know what I was doing so asked her what time was the collection scheduled for yesterday. She said 2pm. But it was 2:30pm. So then I had even less confidence.
What do you do when UPS misses a collection? Who do you call and what normally happens? Pulling my hair out here after having wasted 1.5 hours so far this morning.

I would book another collection online.
It’s not happened often, maybe once or twice when they have been busy.

To my knowledge they don’t routinely give collection times either

We had a failed collection last Friday. Hoped they would reattempt on Monday but nobody appeared.

Contacted support via email and they said to rebook.

Rebooked Tuesday morning for same day(with same tracking numbers)…nobody arrived.

Tried phoning the overseas support. Gave up as the line was so faint I couldn’t here anything.

Booked again for Wednesday(with same tracking numbers)…Nobody arrived again.

Had more boxes to send so booked for Thursday collection (with only new tracking numbers) and they turned up then complained why there was twice the amount they were expecting.
What I think has happened is that if you rebook using the same tracking numbers the system seems to ignore the collection as it thinks it’s already been collected. Soon as I put new tracking numbers in they turned up as usual
Don’t normally have issues with UPS but disappointed the local depot didn’t contact us. In the past if they miss a collection they usually turn up next day.

We make a point of having the local UPS depot’s phone number (makes sure it’s the one the drivers come from) and contact them directly. Whenever we have had issues they have been a great help.

We are having a nightmare with this at the moment. A pallet was booked for collection 2 weeks ago but nobody came. The excuse given was that they needed to check it wasn’t a residential address - but this was a major logistics company in Trafford Park, Manchester and UPS collects from them every day for other things. Anyway, it was rescheduled for the 19th and again nobody came. This time the excuse was that they needed to double check the postcode because sometimes the wrong information is given! It was then rescheduled for yesterday and unbelievably, no one came again. No excuse given this time - still trying to get an answer. This is costing us hundreds of pounds per week and driving us up the wall with stress.
