FBA Inventory - How does Europe/IOSS work?
Hi All,
Hope you are well.
I wonder if anyone can help us as to how FBA works for Europe.
We have started using some FBA, and all orders have currently been to UK.
- Do we need to activate for Amazon to sell to European customers?
- Are the FBA items available for other country customers too?
- How would IOSS etc work in these circumstances?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Several options
Enable your items for ‘amazon to buy your products to sell globally’ does exactly that, amazon will buy from you at your on sale price to sell where they wish - standard fba fees apply
EFN - Restarting in March
Buyers see your goods advertised in their home country and amazon ship then from uk to buyers country - for a fee larger than standard fba fees
PAN EU you store your stock in one or more EU countries and they are shipped prime within buyers country
This requires you sending stock to EU and therefore a vat registration in each country you store stock as well as an eu eori number. Amazon will send your stock to be stored in each country you are vat registered in
Dependant on country, fiscal representation and an importer of record too
Also worth noting the new packaging reporting requirements and responsible person requirements
Not for the faint hearted lol and I’ve probably missed something !

I use FBA export and get a fair number of orders that way
You enable it in your ‘Fulfilment By Amazon Setting’ by setting the following to Enabled
To answer your questions

Do we need to activate for Amazon to sell to European customers? - Set using the option above

Are the FBA items available for other country customers too? - FBA Export can be used for most countries. You can disable certain countries if you want. I disable countries as a couple of my suppliers do not allow me to export certain licenses outside of the EEA.

How would IOSS etc work in these circumstances? - Amazon handles all duty and VAT payments that need to be taken and these are charged directly to the customer. You get paid the same as if you were selling to a UK customer.

Thank you both, you are honestly Amazon!
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
If we use any of the following, does that mean, the additional shipping for those relevant countries thats between Amazon and the customer?
What we only get charged the pick/pack and ship fee for UK even if the customer is overseas?
