Unable to downgrade to Individual Plan in Mexico
I have reached the end of the line with Amazon and have just come to downgrade my account to an individual plan to avoid further unnecessary costs (I am down to my last 3 units in stock). Having done so it appears that I have a professional plan enabling me to sell in Mexico (I have only ever sold on the UK platform) and that it is not possible to downgrade to an individual plan in Mexico.
Does anyone know if I will be charged the usual monthly fee for this never used professional account in Mexico and is this Uncle Jeff’s cunning plan to prevent me from departing the platform?
I cannot imagine for a moment that I would get a straight answer to this simple question from seller ‘support’.
Alternatively is there a way to terminate this Mexican account?
Thanks all in advance for your help.

You can’t terminate the account, but you need to ensure that it is set to inactive via holiday settings.
Just out of curiosity, have you even been charged a pro fee for Mexico ?

Hi Jilly. The account is already inactive, just wondered if others had experienced this and continued to be charged even after trying to downgrade. Previous experience with Amazon would lead me to think they would be happy to create a user experience where it is not possible to downgrade and thus continue to charge me indefinitely. Almost like a carefully contrived form of theft but ultimately more through incompetence than design.
