Amazon issues refund for order delivered more than 6 months ago

I recently receive a few refunds that is delivered months ago, even 2 of them about a year ago. Amazon claims refunds can be issued even after a month return window period for electronic products. This seems not fair as many customers can manipulate this, use the product and when they want to return, return it. Is there any appeal or solution to this refund decisions made by Amazon?

When you receive these late returns, you do have options to address situations where you believe the refund decision was unfair. If you feel a refund was issued incorrectly or outside of policy, you can file a SAFE-T (Seller Assurance for E-Commerce Transactions) claim through your Seller Central account. SAFE-T claims allow you to seek reimbursement from Amazon for losses due to issues outside your control, including situations involving buyer behavior or policy application concerns.

To file a SAFE-T claim, go to your Seller Central account and navigate to the SAFE-T Claims section under Orders. You'll need to provide the order details and any supporting evidence for why you believe the refund decision should be reviewed. The claims team will investigate and determine if reimbursement is appropriate based on the circumstances.

Have you already attempted to file SAFE-T claims for these orders, or would you like guidance on what documentation to gather before submitting?

Hello @Seller_8d4OYg0bc7fkQ,

I apologize for the confusion.

We should have started by asking you to share the Order ID to review details and determine what options you might have to proceed.

Now that you have mentioned these orders are FBA, the first step should be to reach out to Seller Support and describe that the orders have been refunded by Amazon outside of the normal return window. It serves you to document the state of the product and add them to the case.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
