Temporarily closed listing, now unable to relist

Yesterday afternoon I listed an item and received a confirmation email to confirm it had been listed. I then decided to temporarily close the listing as I needed to confirm details about the item.

Amazon allowed me to relist the item yesterday evening. I even got a “Notification of created Listing” email with a link to the item. However, the item definitely hasn’t been listed and shows up in the listing as unavailable.

When I tried to relist the item a few hours later, and again this morning I got the message “An error occurred when we tried to process your request. We apologise for the inconvenience.” I get the same error message under “Manage Inventory” and where the listing appears under “Search suppressed and inactive listings.”

How can I resolve this. Do I need to start again from scratch by finding the item in the catalogue then submitting the listing manually? I am an individual seller.

did you close it or delete it ?

what is missing if you see it in suppressed ? usually its an image or other size info etc

do you mean that you are not paying the monthly fee or that you are not registered as a business ? if the latter, some categories are gated for you

I am an individual seller who has registered to pay per item I sell.

Under the “Search supressed and inactive listings” it states “Your offer is closed. To reactivate this offer, click Reactivate.” Then when I reactivate there is nothing missing. It just looks like the standard listing format.

Anyway, this time it allowed me to submit the listing which it didn’t earlier. I then got this message “Your updates have been submitted. Thanks for suggesting changes to the catalogue. Note that Amazon considers data from all available sources to display the best possible detail pages for our customers. Your recommendations are being considered. If we accept your suggestions, the changes will be reflected in 15 minutes”. I have no idea what this is about.

I also got another confirmation emal stating “Thank you for listing your product in the Amazon store. Your item will be available for purchase within minutes, but it may take up to 15 minutes to appear in your inventory.”

I suspect I am caught in a loop that might be rectified by choosing the item from the catalogue again and starting from scratch. It is a router I am selling and it is not a gated category. I had successfully submitted the listing yesterday afternoon before I closed it. That was for a good reason as I didn’t want to describe the item incorrectly.

People talk about how, once a listing is there, it is there forever but I haven’t found that to be the case.

I closed and deleted a listing that used one of my own EANs and I want to reinstate it, complete with all its previous reviews, and it cannot be found in the catalogue.
