Variations vs single listings

Hello, I just starting to list products. The listing I’m trying to do is for custom wreaths of which there are 4 different designs to choose from.

From what I have read on this forum I can’t have the main picture displaying all four.

I did do one listing before I found this information out and had the parent with all four pictured as the main image and then the four child listings had the relevant pictures linked up.

But this only displays one random design on the listing when I find it in search, And nowhere on the tab in the search results does it say multiple design variations are available. Like it does with colour variation listings.

Is there any way round this?

If not I’m guessing it would be easier to list all the designs as separate listings. This way they all get a chance to be seen in search results.

Thank you

Sometimes seperate listings is better. I sell some types of clothing, it comes in 4 colours, the listing in a variation only shows one as the main picture, say for instance grey, so as a customer, If I was looking for red I might skip right over that listing.

You need to understand how variations work.
The parent listing, is just a placeholder and doesn’t exist anywhere, except for the variation listing.
Effectively what you do, is to create your 4 variations as individual listings, then knit them together with a parent listing.
So when you search, one of the 4 items may appear in the search. But it won’t necessarily be the same each time you search.
