Policy warning just says "incorrect variations"

No other clear information apart from the ASINs etc. Anyone any idea how to deal with this? I had a similar issue a while ago and support did not know what the problem was. The policy team refused to tell me what the problem was so obviously it’s difficult to fix.

The email just says:

You created one or more ASIN variations that violate our ASIN Creation policies. Selling partners may not:
– Change the product’s detail page (parent or child) to become fundamentally different from the original product listed.
– Change the parent product’s detail page so it does not match the children.
– Add incorrect child variations that are not true variations of the parent product.
– Add multi-pack variations that are not manufacturer created to an already existing parent

I don’t see how any of these are relevant. Nothing has been changed to be any different from the parent apart from colour and size (which is the point of variations).

Tbh, I’m sick of this nonsense. What kind of “partner” refuses to tell you what the problem is just tells you there is one, but we’re not going to reveal what’s wrong. Ridiculous!

Welcome to the amazingly unfair world of Amazon Account Health.

I am of the opinion that Account Health is completely automated and NEVER gives a sensible reply. They probably run some outdated form of AI chatbot to generate random nonsensical answers.

The only way to resolve this issue is to sell on a different platform - one that has a human contact in the form of a concierge department.

Sorry if my response isn’t helpful. But it’s probably more help than you’ll ever get from Amazon Customer Support or the Account Health Team.

Don’t know if this is just awkward phrasing, but this reads like you’re saying the Parent has a Colour and size in the listing, and then the children have different colours and sizes to the parent, is that so?

If that’s the case, then yeah, that’s probably the problem. The information on the Parent should be applicable to all of the Children.

If you share the ASINs, people may be able to take a look and see if they can see a reason for it.

I am having the same issue.

Incorrect variation policy - they have sent me 3 of the exact same violation and when I appeal it gets rejected within a few mins.

My variation listing is 100% compliant - it is a listing of 3 garden scissors which are of a different style.

I am dealing with one of these for the last 5 months. The variation doesn’t even belong to me but I have similar items so they blame me for this product that doesn’t even belong my catalogue.
I sent many emails and talked to many people. I wrote documents explaining the issue. Nobody listens and they pass it to somebody else. It effected my sales as well. Currently my shop is closed. Other platforms are more friendly and approachable. I am very disappointed.
