Adding a generic product
I hve been trying to add a Generic product with 2 variations for a week now and am getting no assistance from Amazon apart from the same reply every time asking for the same info. I have sent everything I have. My problem is on the variation page, where they ask for external product ID. I put my bar codes from GS1 in but they were not what they wanted and I cannot understand what they want as I do not have a GTN number from the provider. I have sent them proof of my barcodes, also a copy of the invoice from the manufacturer. I never had this problem with the last product I listed. I just wish you could speak to someone at Amazon as have watched all the tutorials but they are not really helping! Beginning to think I am just stupid!!

If you want to list unbranded products, we would need you to submit a letter outlining the GTIN Owner's relationship with the unbranded product, as well as confirming that the product doesn't have a brand name and is so classified as generic. The letter must be issued and signed by the GTIN Owner.
This didnt happen last time I listed a generic product. Does anyone have any ideas?
