Amazon account deactivated, Reason '' I own another account'' WHICH I DON'T!
Hello!
I have just received an email from amazon saying that my amazon seller account has been deactivated as they believe i have another seller account which i never had. This is just ridiculous and was wondering if someone could guide me what to do next. There is an option of POA but what shall i mention in POA as i never owned any other account!
Any help will be appreciated!

It’s a bit more complex than you just having another account. It could be an account you started to register but never completed. Or it could be an account that shares some of the same info as your. So it could be a family member, partner etc. Or a shared phone number, bank account etc etc

Could well be yes as so much is done by bots that will just pick up on things automatically

The same thing happened to us.
Amazon claimed another a/c was associated with ours. We had no knowledge of such an account and were totally ignorant as to Amazon’s reasons for our deactivation.
Spend 2 months+ defending our position. We were made to feel guilty for a situation that wasn’t our making. After 3 appeals and 2 reviews we were reinstated with a “grudging” and “semi” Amazon apology., They wouldn’t give a reason as to our deactivation however seller central let slip that we’d most likely been hacked.
Keep fighting it, try to get a seller central associate on your side and don’t give up!

We had similar some while ago - has someone else at same address or computer got or had account - they may have linked you to another account by a tenuous link? They do this to prevent clever individuals who do set up duplicate accounts

We were deactivated by Amazon for a “linked” a/c./ This was never proven or explained by Amazon

Spoke to them over phone yesterday. Was told to upload my identity information and bank statement to distinguish between me and other account.
Once uploaded, i will then hear back from them. Uploaded them straightaway along with a simple POA.
Now waiting to hear back from them! Fingers crossed.
