Why are amazon payments taking over 5 working days to come into the bank
Why is now taking amazon longer to get funds into our account after we do disbursement.
it used to be 3 working days and now its 5 working days. amazon are always looking for tricks and will take this to 2 weeks soon making it impossible to maintain cashflow

glad it's not only me that has noticed this. I can withdraw funds from PayPal and get it immediately and same with eBay. Something needs to be done about this as I have suppliers I need to pay and it's causing stress

Hi @Seller_YA6UgSVGiX3Wu
I do highly recommend you contact our seller support team in order for them to review your account and see if there is any sort of reserve on your account.

This isn't a 'Reserve' issue.
Once the seller clicks 'Request Payment' that payment then takes 5 working days to reach the sellers bank account.
As others have said, it used to take 2-3 working days, now it's more erratic and 5 days isn't unusual.
The majority of online platforms transfer money either instantly, end of day, or next day, with Amazon it's click-and-wait, there's no reliable way of knowing when the funds will actually reach the account.
NOTE: Again... This isn't related to account level reserves, this is about money that has already been released to the seller.

I'm pretty sure if it was an account reserve issue you wouldn't be able to request a disbursement in the first place, no?

It's about bank transfer time.
When disbursement is ordered (day 1), process starts with the status "Process initiated".
The same day, or the next day (day 2), disbursement status changes to "Sent to bank" and then "Acknowledged by bank". This happens typically on the day 2.
But the actual money transfer used to take 2-3 days from "Acknowledged by bank", and now can take 5 days.
This can only mean, that "Acknowledged by bank" is confirmation, that Amazon's bank received transfer request. And this transfer request has been sent with "value date" (the date of actual transaction to be performed by bank = transfer to seller's account). Value date used to be 2-3 days, now it's longer.
This is something Amazon has complete control over, when sending instructions to its bank. It is, after account reserves and DD+7, another way Amazon holds seller's money on their account, earning interests when sellers have issues with cash flow.

I agree
Our account is on a reserve (I think DD + 7) which is already bad for cash flow especially during less busy periods but then when we are finally able to withdraw the money it always takes 4-5 days to reach the bank account.
It should be same / next day!

It's a lot of interest someone's keeping! Possibly slightly short-sighted to hurt your own suppliers, but what's new?
