Update your shipping template settings before August 24

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but we're just asking this is this Amazon wide, in all categories ?

This is the email we received a few days ago . . .

We’re updating our shipping templates to help ensure that shipping fees are predictable for customers as they purchase multiple units.

As of August 24, 2026, you’ll no longer be able to set price-banded delivery rates for any seller-fulfilled orders. Only per-item/weight-based or weight-tiered rate models will be available on your shipping templates.

You have shipping templates with price-branded delivery rates, and we recommend that you proactively update them to per-item/weight-based or weight-tiered rate models as soon as possible to ensure that your shipping rates are set according to your business needs and to avoid any potential disruptions.

If you do not take action before August 24, 2026, any existing price-banded shipping templates will automatically be migrated to the per-item/weight-based rate model. Your shipping fees, which are charged to customers, will be applied based on the shipping cost for your region and shipping option. You can view and adjust the exact shipping fee that will apply to each of your templates at any time in Shipping settings.

We're MCF and sell CDs and Vinyl and we use price bands and not weights to set our shipping rates. We're happy to update accordingly, but just checking to see if everyone else is in the same boat ?

I had the same email. I had also used price banded shipping. There was also a banner on my shipping settings page explaining this. I have changed my settisettings last week. So frustrating... why change something that didn't need changing

This line of text is such nonsense. Customers don't need the shipping fee to be 'predictable' because they can see the fees on their screen.
