Amazon fulliment v Merchant Fulliment

Could someone clarify why Amazon Fulfillment sellers are treated more favorably than Merchant Fulfillment sellers, particularly regarding the cancellation of negative feedback? It is understandable that if an item is delayed or incorrectly sent by the fulfillment center, sellers should not be penalized for Amazon's mistake. However, this policy creates an imbalance in the competitive landscape, as observed in the following scenario.

the scenario you’ve shown is only there due to gross incompetence more than anything else.

The feedback there is a product review so should have been removed if left for any seller, but the feedback team, like many areas of Amazon simply don’t know what they are doing, or are bots that have been poorly designed.
