Is there a way to add notes to a listing
With my eBay listings, I am able to add to my description the location of the item (for example, building #2, Shelf C, box 126.) With Amazon, I have to search for the date it was listed, and that often doesn't take me to exactly where the item is. I simply am looking for a place to add private notes to help find precisely where my items are listed.

If you are at all serious about online selling you need to be the keeper of all information. Do not rely on any disinterested online system. You keep all records on inventory, expenses, income.
And of course, all the regular bookkeeping necessary for a business -- tracking all expenses including those that those disinterested sites don't even know about (mileage, supplies, and much more)
Your spreadsheet or database should be set up to include your private notes and everything related to that SKU.
Some sellers use coding within the SKU to denote their storage location. But that system means that any change to your storage system renders the SKU code invalid. Far better to have a note field in your spreadsheet that can be edited.
