Read onlyHi,
Customer orders 2 t shirts 'I Love My Boyfriend' & 'I Love My Girlfriend' t shirts on the 8th february, obviously for valentines day, customer messages saturday night just gone, 4 weeks after the due delivery date saying
I didn't reply to the customer because there clearly trying it on to get a refund, a genuine customer who hadn't recieved the item would of messaged me within a week of the due delivery date not 4+ weeks, its obvious amazon is showing them the item may be lost, A-Z granted today and funds re-imbursed, more money out of my pocket thanks to amazon.
@Maya_Amazon @Winston_Amazon
When will this 'YOUR ITEM MAY BE LOST' thing stop!!!?? you said you were chasing it up months back and we've had no update!!! amazon clearly do not give a s*** about this because they still keep the fee's anyway, so it's ok for us sellers to keep suffering whilst you tell all our customers there item may be lost when the postman has not scanned the item upon delivery, why is it very rare that people claim theyve not recieved items on other platforms, yet on amazon its all the time, the numerous threads about this just go to show.
STOP PUSHING TO CUSTOMER THAT THERE ITEM MAY BE LOST
Amazon is basically becoming a hub for scammers and free items.
" you said you were chasing it up months back and we've had no update!!!"
Like so many other things that are supposed to be 'chased up'/looked into' - this issue, the nested replies on the forum, and several others I can think of. I have my doubts that any of these will EVER be resolved in the seller's favour.
Last week I received a message with just one word - refund.
Unbelievable!
ive had plenty of those myself, customers know that they have to message you before they can claim an A-Z so often will just send one word. it's stupid
Re the Amazon lost email , I send this and finger crossed not heard from the Scammers again))
"Hi Thank you for your message.
To protect us both the package was sent by a tracked GPS Royal Mail 24 service., so we can check where the item current location as it goes through the RM system
As the item would fit through a letterbox , perhaps someone has put it somewhere safe , and forgot to tell you?
Perhaps you would check again and advise me , before I contact the Royal Mail Investigation Branch re your non receipt claim .
Kind Regards"
I had a
"REFUND NOW!!!!"
and a "." yes just a full stop, I was tempted to reply with a comma.
when i get messages like that i point out that they should use please and thank you, the least i expect is basic manners. normally they apologise and blame the amazon system.....i don't care if they post a negative review, I will only reply when customers are fair and polite....i think we should all be doing that, it's not a huge ask.
Good luck...
This happens to me as well, but not so much recently for some reason.
How do you buy your shipping? Even 1st and 2nd class through Amazon's Buy Shipping are often scanned on delivery, and you can check.
I always challenge the customer, giving them a chance to back down, and faced with the evidence they do.
People who place orders with the intention of stealing, know the system and then have a plan from the start.
The problem with Amazon's 'may be lost' messages is that they encourage chancers. People who wouldn't steal or see themselves as thieves, but who think they can get a freebie.
I don't think Amazon's approach will change anytime soon. Somewhere in Amazon's HQ, there is a bunch of MBA's continuously spouting idiotic ideas, and defending them despite everything, in an attempt to keep their job.
Hi there
Yes we have been asking the same question and nothing seems to be done by Amazon, i get them daily for small 2nd class letters which i order through Amazon buy shipping.
For us it seemed to be a lot better in February we had a lot less 'lost items' but now we are in March we are again seeing many emails daily all requesting a refund.
Mostly when you challenge it (even if there is no tracking) nothing happens and you never hear from the buyer again.
It is disappointing but I doubt it will ever change. We should keep challenging Amazon on it though in the hope that someone one day may listen and take notice.
I know it's frustrating, but the moment you chose not to respond, you guaranteed the Atoz would go against you.
Amazon will automatically grant the atoz if the seller doesn't respond to the customer within 48 hours of the complaint being raised.
I know it's tempting to think 'if I don't reply, they might forget to open the claim', but even if Amazon doesn't send a follow up message prompting the claim, I think claims might automatically open if the original complaint isn't answered and the original complaint is asking for a refund/replacement/whatever.
since we moved to tracked 24 instead of rm 24 these have disappeared, get the odd one that is actually missing maybe one in 500, people still try it on but we send the photos and the tracking and they go away, have a look at SFP
