BSR gone from listing overnight
We have an item we have been selling on Amazon Italy for about 2 full months now. It is our product and we are the only sellers for it.
Due to holiday season coming up, we increased our PPC spending multiple times over.
3 days into heavy PPC spending and record spikes in sales our Sales Rank for the item is just… gone! No sales rank at all, no organic ranking positions for the item, only placements we see are from PPC Ads.
Our theory is that our heavy spending has confused the algorithm somehow. Nonetheless, we have opened a case and I believe it will get resolved, hopefully, sooner rather than later, as we have not done anything, except give Amazon more of our money to spend on advertising…
I have never seen something like this, and we’ve been selling on Amazon for almost three years now.
Perhaps anyone has experienced something similar?

Hi,
I would check that it has not been incorrectly flagged as an Adult product as this would hide it in searches and make it ineligible for advertising. (PPC)

hi there - exact same thing has happened to one of our ASINs, they browse node and rank has all disappeared and the only way to find the product is by typing the ASIN into the search bar or clicking through from the SC dashboard. So we can see the listing is still active but it no longer appears in any searches at all…

I have done the same - @Luggage_Bags1 and we have the same situation. I am raising cases but don’t seem to be getting anywhere - very frustrating and loosing sales all the while.
I did also check and the product has been flagged as adult too - so I have submitted a request for Amazon to change it as it is not editable anymore. (despite being set to No). I am not sure if this is the reason why or just the icing on the cake at this point…
If anyone works out how to resolve this please do share, likewise I will do the same.

Hi all,
Thanks for your posts about this.
I have checked our systems and have found that there was a technical issue overnight and up until about 9:30 UK time today that impacted the selling rank of some ASINs.
The technical team have advised that the matter has now been resolved but it can take 6-8 hours for the data to update within our systems again.
If the information hasn’t updated by this evening please create a case with the ASIN/s so that they can be checked.
Thanks,
Jessica

I am having the same problem. My most popular listing which I have sold for 3 years is no longer showing in search at all, or even if I search by ASIN.
I contacted Amazon and they said the can see I have multiple listings for the same ASIN, which is not true.
Sales have vanished for today since this problem.
Anyone managed to resolved the issue?

My best selling item had also disappeared from search results and 3 digit sales rank gone just like that. I created a ticket with seller support before I saw this thread but everything had returned back to normal as of last night before the ticket has been looked at.

After several tickets and many messages the listings are back as they were, ranking restored and the items are now searchable - the one thing I did that was consistent on both - removed the incorrect Adult flag that had appeared. Amazon had to do this, as it was appearing as ‘true’ despite the fact I set the product up as false.
Not sure how it got there (!?) but now its gone things are back to normal. Thanks @Anglozone
