Crazy changes in advertising costs past two days at least

Hi has anyone seem a massive increase in their ad spend in the past two days ? which does not correspond to the Amazon advertising console data at all ?

I have logged in today to see a bill of over £2000 for the 27th alone. Typically our ads are around £200 to £300 a day. I have logged in today and can see this has leaped to £2400 for two days which is mental.

I have gone into my ad console and its showing the data I would expect, £200 ish in spend per day with the corresponding sales which match the sales we have had.

However, at £2400 for two days there is nothing there to justify the ad spend, the sales do not support it and there is nothing there that would explain it, there have been no significant changes to bids or anything and all the campaigns have fixed caps on them, so there is simply no way it should or could ever reach that amount even with Amazons "spend your whole week budget in a day ads policy".

I see a note saying they have an issued with brands and display data, but now I feel that this is also massively into advertising spend too resulting is crazy billing ? has anyone else experienced this ? as its worrying to say the least.

One of two things is happening, either A, there is huge issue with ads billing due to a bug, or B, there is a massive fraudulant click farm issue that has popped up in the past two days alone. Either one is worrying

The thing is you cannot even go into the portfolio for campaigns and check, because on the console its showing the data I would expect and nothing untoward

I too have noticed a massive increase and no additional sales to show for this. I’m only a small handmade trader and jumping from £4 to £100 is just mental and less sales if anything. Just mental

Is there any update on this? Was it a blip the reporting or no?

And did it eventually show up in the advertising console?

Did you get any update on this?

I have been away on holiday and have come back to some horrific charges.

It hasn't generated any more business it has just sucked it all out of my budget and overspent on the budget.

More worring, I have an Amazon rep that monitors my account and didn't pick it up. I'm just getting fobbed off and ignored now.

Hello Sellers,

A few others have jumped in here to provide their similar experience and frustrations of those experiences. I would like to help where I can, but need to better understand these a bit more.

Open question, does this communication you are receiving asking for your approval to move forward with a campaign come with a case ID? If so, please share that and I will see what I can do.

Best, Dougal
