Parent ASIN with 2 child ASINS making changes to 1 of my child ASIN when changed title?

Hello,

I’ve created my first variation listing with a parent ASIN however I’ve been struggling to get the correct images to show when switching between the two. I’ve uploaded individual images on child ASIN level however I changed the parent ASIN title to a shorter version for easier navigation though I noticed this also changed one of my child ASIN titles. Does anyone have any understanding as to why this may have happened?

Also my Parent ASIN is showing as incomplete, not sure if this affects anything. My products are listed in the sports category.

Thanks in advance for any help on this

Hi RASP,

I have had issues with my title changing in the past, it usually goes to the name of the parents and says, this is XYZ’s child listing.

I’m not to sure why it does this, but from now on whenever I create any variations, I always upload a flat file, and I never use the edit variation screen when going into the parent product.

I was informed by Brand registry support, that A+ content can also affect this kind of thing, so if you are using it, you might want to check it out.

**!!!Really important!!! the images shown are for new products NOT already on your catalogue

Ok so flat files for different categories look different, but the basic features should all look the same.
Line 1 on all images is the parent listing; you only need basic details for this line.
The second and third lines are products underneath that listing, take note on how to do the variation in image 2.

Sometimes it is easier, to upload line 1 first, then after that has been successful, upload just line2 and 3 exactly as shown in the pictures; you can add to any variation as long as the variation section is set up with the correct SKU.
