Hello,

I received a email a few weeks back, stating that Amazon wants documents to verify that my company is established in the UK for VAT etc.

This is the most recent email I received after submitting my company certificate and UTR letter:

We reviewed your account and the additional information that you provided. We have concluded that your selling account has failed the business establishment verification process that is associated with your value-added tax (VAT), and your account will remain deactivated.

I submitted every document they requested and everything I had for the previous emails.

My company is UK based, the director (me) is UK based.

It's really frustrating now and I'm not sure what to do, I keep submitting documents and appealing the decision, but it keeps going in circles.

My company is registered at a virtual office address, the directors address is a UK address too.

I am under the VAT threshold.

Please, if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

I am a UK resident and selling on Amazon for over 3 years now. We have been backwards and forwards with Amazon for 3 weeks over VAT establishment. We have provided masses of information about the company and the owner to Amazon confirming that we are a UK company and do not earn 85k, therefore I am exempted from VAT (since 2021 when I started). However, Amazon believe we are not in the UK and calculated £22,000 VAT. This left us puzzled.

I have sent over, my UK Driving Licence, British Passport, Business incorporation, Bank statement, Invoice from supplier, Utility bill, but Amazon has rejected our appeal. I think it may be because of residential address utility bill, which i later sent them company address utility bill and the issue still persists?

Here is email from amazon

“We reviewed your account and the information you provided, and we have decided that you may not open a selling on Amazon account” 

Despite providing the required documentation, the issue persists. This prolonged delay is causing significant inconvenience and financial strain on my business operations.

Please help us with this?

As many of you know there is a "establishment for vat purposes" issue going on lately. Without going to details amazon considered me as non-eu established, because of that amazon deducted around 24k euros from my account because of historical vat. I dont have vat debt but still amazon took whole money from my amazon balance and my bank account. So at the end I am left with 0 money. BUT I have inventory and I still sell in all eu marketplaces so my debt was decreasing and coming closer to 0. I paid all the historical vat other than germany because my main sales were from germany. Amazon already took whole money from my balance and bank account but I am left with 8K euros debt in germany. During this time amazon was trying to take 8K euros almost everyday from my bank account and every try was declining because I had no money on my bank(because of amazon). After many trials amazon deactivated my germany account. But I have my inventory in germany and I was selling everyday, now how can I pay this amount? I dont have any other income other than amazon. I invested all of my money to inventory. Amazon needs to activate my germany listing so I can sell and pay my debt. The reason of deactivation is already amazon itself. I sell in other eu marketplaces but it is going so slow. Anybody has experience about this issue?
