Brand Registry - register a brand as a distributor
Hi!
I’m working for a leading toy distributor in Belgium and at the moment we are looking to sell products of the brands we are distributing in France on Amazon.
We would like to start an FBA Sellers Account for 1 specific brand and we also would like to register this brand as our own via the Amazon Brand Register process.
We asked Amazon already how we can enroll a brand as our own, when we have the permission from the brand itself to sell FBA on Amazon and to register as a brand.
Amazon tells us we can’t register a brand which we are not the legal owner of, but we are as a distributor the legal representative of the brand and we do have official permission from the brand itself.
My question is: how can we register a brand on Amazon as a distributor for which we are the legal representative and for which we have permission of the legal owner.
Thanks in advance for your help!

The response from Seller Support is not correct, you can register a Brand on Amazon UK on behalf of the brand owner. You will be required to have a signed letter of Authorisation from the Brand owner we have done this for a US Manufacturer for selling on Amazon FBA UK. If you go start the brand registration process during this there is a template letter of authorisation for the brand owner to sign which you then upload during the brand registry process. This will go to the Brand registry team who understand the process as appose to the standard Seller Support team. It takes about a month to complete.

Yes you can register the brand, Amazon brand registry team will send a code to the brand owner who will pass the code to you then you pass it back to Amazon

Do you also have to ask permission to start a second Seller Central Account for Amazon.com in the USA? Or are Europe and the United States two totally different areas for Amazon?
Thanks for your reply!
