Listing Suppressed - '[unit_count]' is required but not supplied.

A few weeks ago, two of our listings became suppressed with Amazon's reasoning being: '[unit_count]' is required but not supplied. Both the "unit count" and "unit count type" fields are highlighted in red on the backend of the listing, so I'm unable to make or save any changes from the listing editor. Seller Support recommended updating the attributes via flat file which I've tried several times, but hasn't worked yet.

Seller Support suggested updating the attributes using a flat file, which I've attempted multiple times without success. Despite several interactions with Amazon, I've received the same response. Their primary recommendation is to delete and relist the items via a flat file, but this approach created additional problems and led to the deactivation of one listing (thankfully it's since been reactivated).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We're stuck in a situation with Seller Support, and these are new listings we're unable to promote due to suppression.

This technical issue has been ongoing and you're most likely not going to be able to resolve it on your own.

I suggest you open a Seller Support case, or update your last case with them if you can still reopen it, and include the Batch ID number from your file upload, to show them you tried to update it on your end but it's not updating.

Post the case number in this thread so a Community Manager can get the case escalated to the correct internal team. There are many threads where the issue was resolved once it got to the right team. Here's one of them (link).

Any chance a Community Manager could take a look at the OP's case and assist/escalate?

Hey there @Seller_PCDCEm995LORs- Danny from Amazon here. Appreciate you looking to forums for assistance on this, and thanks to @Seller_LImVvUWeyiCfQfor jumping in to help as well.

I took a look through that Case ID and it looks like the most recent file upload got the job done, as support advised the needed changes should be live within 48 hours. I wanted to check in to ask if you are seeing this update from your end?

Thanks!

Danny

We had this happen on one listing and Amazon was able to fix it through Seller Support within 12 hours.

Unfortunately, the "Search Suppressed" Tool is FATALLY FLAWED and often results in suppressing listings in ERROR.

Equally unfortunate is that this problem is NOT a New one, and has existed for AT LEAST as long as I have been Selling here.

Back when U.S.A. based Seller Support was available on the telephone, they would routinely "Manually" fix the suppression, but they would ALSO tell me that the system would likely Suppress the ASIN again in the future

I STILL get perfectly legitimate ASIN's "Search Suppressed" that were originally Amazon Retail Team listings, and will NOT accept ANY edits from me to resolve the "Error" the system claims exists (it usually does not).

It is simply POORLY-WRITTEN SOFTWARE, and needs to be Shut-Off and Redesigned to eliminate False Positives.
