Inventory file templates (part 2): Shipping Overrides

Hello Sellers,

Are you managing a diverse product range with varying weights, dimensions, and shipping origins? Customise your shipping charges with precision using the Shipping Overrides Template.

NOTE: This feature is only available for Sellers with a professional selling plan.

Here’s how the Shipping Overrides Template can help you:

Set Unique Flat Rates per SKU: Tailor shipping costs for individual products.
Add Rates to Standard Shipping: Apply additional charges on top of your existing shipping model for specific SKUs.
Monitor Shipping Regions: Specify where certain products can or cannot be shipped.

How to Use the Shipping Overrides Template:

Search for the Shipping Override template in Seller Central. The template is a spreadsheet with four tabs:

Instructions: How to use the file.
Data Definitions: Explains each attribute or column.
Shipping Overrides: Where you fill out your overrides.
Values: Predefined text values for certain attributes.
Set Up Regions Individually: Configure each region's settings as needed.

Save the completed template as a text tab-delimited file. Keep a second copy in XLS format for reference.

Upload the template by hovering over "Catalogue" in Seller Central and selecting "Add Products via Upload".

Maintenance Tips:

Update Regularly: Add new items requiring overrides to your template.
Remove Outdated Overrides: Use a delete feed to remove obsolete overrides.
