Buyer fruadently returned a pair of dirty socks instead of the item sold

Hello

I just recieved a returned from the buyer. I sold a pair of running gloves FBM and the customer returned a pair of used dirty socks. I'm assuming Amazon generates a automated refund once the package shows I received it. What do I do next?

If it is under $100, Amazon would normally have refunded in full when return shipment label was scanned by USPS/UPS.

(and billed you for the shipping label)

You can now open a Safe-T Claim with pictures of the smelly socks (well use a good description to impart the sense of smell vocabularily), and the shipping package and most importantly the shipping label.

However if the order was over $100, you would issue a 100% restock fee as "materially different" item returned.

Hi @Seller_TuFvMVuwMjqoK,

Tatiana from Amazon here -- I'm just coming across your post. I see that @Seller_WAZNnMBpd99sI has already given some information and advice on this return. I just wanted to support that by providing a couple of help pages on Safe-T claims and restocking fees:

Let us know if you have any other questions.
