Premium shipping and SFP:Tracked 24/48 - next day or second day
Hi all,
I have a couple questions on shipping methods for premium and seller fulfilled prime items if you can help me please?
1. We have recently got the prime badge for seller fulfilled shipments. I am getting a mix of prime orders which say 'next day' and some which say 'second day', currently we are shipping everything tracked 24...
I am wondering as amazon is saying 'second day' on some of the orders if I can actually save a little and send them as tracked 48? I assume these are showing as 2 day delivery to the customers at time of purchase too, so this shouldn't make a difference - unless this could be due to weather where they live slowing tracked 24 deliveries for example - so, am I obliged to use tracked 24 in this instance or can/should I use tracked 48 please?
2. We were using DPD up until this week for our next day orders where customers had bought one day premium shipping. I wanted to know if we could instead use tracked 24 for one day shipments and tracked 48 as a 2 day premium shipping option please? Does anyone use these services and since the strikes are they reliable enough to use as a premium service in your opinion please? I assume if these are good enough for 'prime' then they should be good enough for premium options?

In our experience you cant rely on RM to deliver Tracked 24 next day or Tacked 48 in two days. So that would hit your prime badge big time, i would stick with DPD for next day and RM Tracked 24 for your two day deliveries.

I'd be inclined to agree with the above from @Seller_3ZidP0KdESNy5. The old adage of 'under promise and over deliver'
We only offer Two Day Premium Option - for this we use DPD Next Day and price appropriately. I get the want to reduce costs - but with amazon metrics - you are better work to ensure you meet those metrics. In all likelihood we are beating our requirements by over 24 hours when it comes to delivery and could instead also offer One Day.
I think your setup as it is seems appropriate.

You will be able to see what shipping services are available for each order when you go to book the shipments. If T48 is on there then use that - otherwise it will only give you the option for T24. Never known a Prime order be eligible for T48 - regardless of what it says about 'next day' or 'second day'.

You need to use 24 tracked for all next and second day orders - providing RM are scanning these parcels at the depot the same day your metrics should be fine. I am 8 years on SFP and never had any issues with late delivery metrics... and on prime standard orders you can use your own 48 Tracked, but be aware that you wont be reimbursed via safe-t if you do.
