UPS Inbound FBA Shipment has gone missing

UPS Inbound FBA Shipment has gone missing

UPS collected parcel on 21st June and nothing has happened since 23rd scanned into one of their hubs. I have contacted UPS and they said to start a claim but this requires Amazon.

I have contacted customer service but they say I need to wait 14 days to reconcile.

From my understanding I can’t reconcile if the parcel didn’t arrive? Nearly 600 items as well so I’m a bit worried.

Any advice?

What does the most recent tracking with UPS say?

I’ve got one shipped on 17 Jun to MME1 that made it as far at Tamworth and hasn’t been tracked any further since 19 Jun. Neither UPS nor Amazon will consider it lost yet, although something has clearly gone wrong.

I think there some serious problems within some of Amazon FBA Warehouses. There are other threads on here about long delays with some shipments. This is what I know so far.

  1. The issues is entirely Amazon FBA not UPS as it’s Amazon who decide when to accept a shipment into there warehouse, so if they Amazon tell UPS to hold on to a shipment until they are ready that exactly what UPS will do

  2. UPS most probably won’t communicate this to sellers because there agreement is with Amazon not us

  3. Seller central current tagline is they won’t investigate any shipment unless it been 14 day since there last update on UPS tracking. Stupid! I totally agree! Especially if the tracking say something non descriptive like on hold, Amazon are basically using this as a get out of jail card to kick issue down the line and not explain the real problem to sellers.

  4. My general assumption is the items might not be missing and Amazon are just holding them till they can check them in. I have a feeling they messed up somewhere probably lifted there incoming stock restrictions too soon for some warehouses and now they can’t cope, due to the new regulations on social distancing while working. I would wait 14 days after last update and then contact them so you can get a official investigation started.

Same with mine from 19.06 and 23.06,both shipments got to Stanford Le Hope and stayed there,still no movement.Everything after,checks in in 1-2 days.One of the stuck shipments is for BHX4 but i have sent at least 6 shipments to them since and all checked in and have been received.So this shows ,at least to me ,that the problem might not be with the FCs but very likely could be an issue with Stanford Le Hope only.

No advice I’m afraid but I’ve had 4 boxes ‘out for delivery’ since the 23rd June and 2 have literally just started receiving now without normal checkin email. Lots out other boxes have leap frogged them and been delivered and received quickly. Hopefully other stuck boxes will be discovered and received soon now.
I was told when I opened a case that I’d be compensated in full for missing boxes but they didn’t expand on timescale or process.

So I opened a case with Seller Support and this was their response:

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand your concern is in regard to missing units of FBA Shipment ID FBA15D0D6DXJ.

Based upon my investigation i have found that the status of FBA Shipment ID FBA15D0D6DXJ is still IN TRANSIT.

Request you to wait until we received this shipment completely at our FC and status change to Closed.

Once the shipment is totally received and closed than only we can investigate for missing or lost box.

You can confirm the FBA Shipment ID FBA15D0D6DXJ status as receiving in below given link :

Does this mean that they won’t do anything until they receive the parcel? If I cant claim with UPS as Amazon was the customer does that mean I’ve lost that stock? Seems a bit odd!
