If i'm sending a 1000 products into amazon,
The size of a normal size envelope (for example) can i send that 1000 units all in 1 box or do i need to get my manufacturer to pack them a certain way.
The weight of each product would be about 150g and the size would be about 7x7 inch.
Any advise or help would be much appreciated.

You can put all 1,000 in a box as long as the box size doesn’t exceed 63.5cm on any dimension and the whole box doesn’t exceed 23kg.
Each items needs to be appropriately barcoded. I would advise you to use FNSKU barcodes, but you can usually use regular UPC/EAN/GTIN barcodes that have been licensed from GS1 (unless your products fall into a category where FNSKU barcodes are mandatory).

Unless I’m misunderstanding something 1000 units at 150g each would be a pretty heavy box.

We’ve been doing FBA for a few months now so I can only offer limited advice compared to others but here’s what I’ve learnt. Firstly there’s nothing to stop you doing this as long as you follow the guidelines, i.e max weight and measurements of the box as others have said. However, the one thing I’ve learnt it do NOT put all your eggs in one basket! If your sending to FBA using UPS your going to be paying only around £5 to send a 10kg box in of a decent size… Therefore split your 1000 units into 4 shipments of 250 per shipment… Then if one gets delayed / lost / damaged in transit you have a backup of 3 other shipments… Up until 2 weeks ago we hadn’t had any issues and then we sent our biggest shipment yet of a single item, 100 units (which is a lot for us) and it was to a centre we’d never shipped to before and it got stuck in transit for 2 weeks… where as we could have split it up with other items we were sending in and half would have gone to another fulfilment centre…

I always try to follow the recommendation regarding dimensions / weight as at any time you could get an individual at Amazon who decides to follow the rules and then you find for boxes stranded for a couple of weeks.
I’ve been doing FBA for a couple of years and recently watched an Amazon Webinar on FBA to make sure I was up-to-date and until then didn’t realised they’d change the maximum box weight from 30kg to 23kg. Also, it was mentioned that the weight / size suggestion is so that the boxes can go through their automated machines if it’s at a fulfillment centre where they are redirecting them. Otherwise, it has to be handled manually which can take longer.

I thought there was a max no units per box of 150. Is that still the case? I might be getting confused with USA.

The most I send in one box is 250 units… I never have a problem with this.
I personally would not send 1000 units within 1 shipment box… split them into smaller boxes of a few hundred and slowly feed them into the Amazon system depending on how quickly you are selling them.
If the courier loses a box of 1000 units i doubt that the compensation would cover the value!
Also if this is a first shipment I would only send a small shipment to test the waters and also to make sure that Amazon doesn’t flag any packaging issues… I believe Amazon returning any non-compliance products can be hefty (per unit charge i think?)

On my account I am now forced to put box dimensions in cm (I use UPS).
I was using 76cmx47cmx47cm but keep getting flagged recently is anyone else having issues?
