POSTAGE FEES UNFAIR!

I have had enough of Amazon not changing postage fees for over 20 odd years! Id like to see where they can post a CD box set for a ridiculous small charge. Absolute disgrace i am now stopping all my sales on this platform. Amazon are basically ripping off so many sellers. The fees for selling just basic things on here are eye-watering!! Never ever will i sell on this platform again no wonder its a trillion dollar business! At all of our expense! Terrible absolutely terrible. Goodbye Amazon!

You're right in many ways - as you say CD box sets for £1.26 - impossible, or books for £2.80, when they can cost £3.50, or more, depending on weight. Amazon will never change, and more likely to want us all to offer free postage.

An option would be to increase the cost of the item to cover the gap in the postage costs.

Another option is to increase the cost by the actual cost and offer "free post". This may not be an option though if it raises the purchase price above other competitors. Some buyers drop out when they see the cost of shipping added at the basket. So even if you appear a bit more expensive buyers love to see the shipping at £0 because they feel that they have not beenmisled about the total cost. .

yes Ive raised this several times over the last 10 years but as you say a post allowance of £1.26 for boxed CD set is just crazy...Royal Mail parcel recorded at PO is £5.49. Obviously there are alternatives but it just shows how out of step they are with their sellers.......my profit levels have just gone down and down so I`m listing very few new items now just letting existing listings run sometimes selling for minimal profit.
