Stolen GS1 barcodes, ongoing issues

A few weeks ago, our new listings we being rejected due to our GS1 barcodes being stolen by overseas sellers

Paperwork submitted of proof of ownership etc sent to Amazon. They said they fixed, wait 24hrs etc and they hadn't.

They sent again, and thankfully 30 odd new listings went live yesterday with one still having issues.

I also tried to add another new four listings using the next four barcodes from the 10000 we purchased a few months back (approx 9000 unused)

I followed this up yesterday and have a reply today: -

"Our team has reviewed your case and identified that the SKUs you are attempting to use (removed) are in ASIN format and are conflicting with existing ASINs in our catalog. Amazon's system does not allow SKUs that match the format of ASINs or that conflict with existing ASINs.

To resolve this issue, you will need to provide new, unique SKUs that:

- Are not in ASIN format (do not follow the (removed) pattern)

- Are not currently used by any ASIN in the catalog

- Are unique identifiers for your products

Once you have created fresh, unused SKUs for these products, please re-upload your listings using the same GTINs but with the new SKU values.

The matching exemptions that were previously granted for your GTINs will remain valid, but you must use SKUs that do not conflict with the catalog.

Please update your SKUs and attempt to list your products again. If you continue to experience any issues after making these changes, please contact us for further assistance."

Nothing has changed our end, this is all because of this GS1 barcode issue.

I changed the SKU to a new sequence of BBS.... which we can use going forward, but still it's been rejected due to overseas sellers using our barcodes.

What does this bit mean? Are not in ASIN format (do not follow the (removed) pattern)

I think the latest reply from Amazon have got the wrong end of the stick regarding the issues I am having

Removed bits shown on screenshot below as wouldn't allow me to post!

Thank you for posting on Forums, @Baked_Bean_Store!

This sounds like a less than ideal experience. Can you please share your case ID with me? Once I have that I will be able to dig into this issue further.

Thanks!
