Avask and Italian VAT numbers
Has anyone else experiencing their IT VAT number has become invalid and Amazon about to deactivate their account.I had fiscal representation through Avask, and this was no longer allowed from Jan 2026 - Avask didn't start the re-registration for direct registration with the IT authorities to the last week in Dec 2025. Told it will take atleast 60 days.
What a mess!!
Has anyone managed to get an extension from Amazon while their VAT registration is being processed?
Really can't recommend Avask anymore on the basis of this experience. They don't communicate and this mess seems to be their own making!

We have just found this out, and AVASK are claiming they did let us know - but no proof of that - and your message makes me think they did not bother telling their customers. They did not start our reregistration until January 20th - we have a final date of 14th of February so no chance.
They have said they will send me a proof of application of some sort from the Italian VAT office - I am going to send this to seller support and see if this helps but currenlty they are not admitting they did something wrong

Just being speaking to Amazon compliance team - they have rejected the letter Avask gave me (trying to get an extension).
They are going to send me a list of documents that I must provide from the tax authorities - I feel like I have no chance of getting them, but will let you know what they are when/if Amazon send them to me.
Avask need to come clean and at least put out a statement and apologise for this massive mess they have created - rather than silence!!!
Assuming no extension given by Amazon, I'm wondering if the best policy is to remove the now invalid VAT number - as then I think we aren't breaking Amazon policies, and then Italy will just get frozen until a valid number comes through.

But I've just had a message from Avask that states...
"We are reaching out regarding your Italian VAT application, which our records show is still pending. To complete your registration and restore your Italian VAT number, we require the following documents and forms:
Updated and correct supporting documentation
ANR3 Form – completed and signed
Delega Form – completed and signed"
and telling me to upload them to the onboarding portal and
"If you require further assistance or have any questions, you can contact us via the comments section in the onboarding portal."
As far as I'm aware they approved all of these at the end of 2025, I have no access to the "onboarding portal" as I'm not a new client. A total mess!!
I had assumed they had already filed my new application, but who knows!!

On not meeting the VAT requirements:

I got 30 days extention with ANR/3 and proof of submission. I tried 3 times and 3rd time finally they approved the extention.
I am not really sure if this timeframe will be sufficient to get back the VAT # in Italy.
hopefully we all will.
we have now around 35-40 days ..

ask them ANR/3 document, the one you signed last month for the re-activation of the account.
also ask them ANR/3 proof of submission to the Italian Authorities.
that's a e-document including your Old Vat number and details of ANR/3 submission.
these two documents, but I had hard time until Amazon give me OK for this. they rejected two times.

Avask should be removed from Amazon's certificated vendor list. Terrible customer experience, charge me even after I notified them via formal email to end the service. I noticed familiar complaints before I signed contract with them, so regret for overlooking peer seller's comments.
