67% VTR but ALL orders have valid tracking

No idea what to do – We ship all orders via RM Tracked 48 and obviously they all have tracking numbers and showing scans. But the VTR is at 67%!

For example, one order was shipped via RM Tracked 24 - showing scans throughout its journey to the customer and the last scan upon delivery. But Amazon says there’s been NO valid tracking event/scan at all (and it’s been 1+ week since the order was delivered, so plenty of time for the system to update and reflect this).

Some orders are shipped via MCF - what I usually do is I generate labels from Click&Drop, create the order via MCF and update the tracking number once Amazon has shipped the order. It’s been 1+ months now and some orders are still showing the old RM Tracking, not the Amazon Shipping one.

Freaking out for obvious reasons, can someone advise please?

it depends
if i raise a label that adds tracking info to the order, and then have to change it 5 minutes later, i know the order hasn’t been shipped - as does the system

with VTR - and especially with MCF orders, they state that if you upload tracking after the item has been delivered, it will not change and be invalid

you state amazon are sending you the tracking number days after the order is placed therefore, its possible that they’ve already been delivered - and hence tracking is invalid

I believe MCF offers next day and 2-3 day delivery so if you are not getting the tracking until day 3 or 4, its possibly already been delivered

The Excel file or the VTR page in Seller Central?

Thanks @The_Little_Shop as always.

Some orders are shipped via MCF - what I usually do is I generate labels from Click&Drop, create the order via MCF and update the tracking number once Amazon has shipped the order. I do it this way because it takes a few days for Amazon to ship the order so the tracking number isn’t immediately available.

It’s been 1+ months now and some orders are still showing the old RM Tracking, not the Amazon Shipping one.

So if you come across any RM tracking numbers that aren’t showing any scans, it means it was actually an MCF order. I have double-checked all MCF orders - they all have valid Amazon Shipping tracking numbers associated with the corresponding MCF order and all are showing as delivered a loooong time ago.

Not sure why Amazon isn’t updating the tracking numbers to reflect this?

this may be causing you a problem however, i don’t do MCF so I don’t know the way round it
they do say YES though in the Has Tracking ID column so are being validated even though they technically aren’t valid numbers as you deleted them after

You may have to either extend your handling time or, select expedited shipping in the MCF order as buyers no doubt will be receiving the wrong tracking info

just to check too with the costs of MCF vs FBM and FBA , are you selling the stock at the same price as FBM and FBA ?
As i say, i don’t use MCF and wouldn’t personally for amazon orders, but if i did, for the stock i sell, I’d have to put my FBM price much higher than my FBA price as MCF fees are higher than FBA fees for my stock and therefore, buyers would just buy my FBA offer instead

I see what you mean, but what if, for example, you were to upload tracking numbers manually from Click & Drop rather than using the integration that does it automatically for you, and you accidentally added the wrong tracking number? Maybe you’ve generated a label for the incorrect service so you need to regenerate the label for the correct one and then update it in the order detail. Even if you were to correct this within 5 mins of uploading the incorrect tracking number, I suspect the same thing would happen.

It’s absurd, the orders all have valid tracking and have been delivered weeks ago.

Re the wrong tracking info – I think Amazon resends the dispatch email with the correct tracking info once the new tracking number is added.

I’m not sure what to do honestly.

Makes sense – but even if this is the case, why is Amazon counting orders from 1+ months ago even though the delivery window should be 30 days? It’s showing orders from 12 February.

the current dates for VTR monitoring are with a
Promised Delivery Date of : 16 Feb 2023 - 17 Mar 2023

so orders from 12th Feb must have a PDD of 16th feb on
