Amazon default shipping costs
The prices Amazon sets for shipping items is considerably out of date. I just sold a blu-ray which weighs 5 ounces. The buyer paid $6.19 for Expedited Shipping, but the lowest price the USPS offers is for a padded envelope at the post office is $11.20, thereby reducing my profit by $5! I've complained about this before, but it's time Amazon revised their default shipping costs. PLEASE COMPLAIN if you have this problem. That is the only way things will change.

If you are on the Pro plan, you can adjust your shipping prices and do not have to use the default.
Or just build the extra cost into your pricing.

you pay the highest price at the post office. Print your postage on Amazon, that will also give you some protection for INR
Priority mail flat rate envelope is $8.18 here and you do not need a padded mailer, you can wrap it in some padding yourself.

Amazon gives you a shipping credit. It's up to you to price items so that you can still pay for shipping. As @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw mentions, if you're on the PRO plan, you can set your own shipping prices.

Hi there @Seller_SUgjGYICVMclC,
I'm sorry for the difficulties that you have with these Shipping Credits. The credits Shipping settings for individual sellers are determined by internal factors and the expectation is that you must ship orders even if the shipping credit is less than your total shipping costs. While we can take your feedback on these credit values, I won't be able to provide any updates or information on internal Amazon reviews of this program.
You may want to review if Professional Selling Account is something that might help your business as you will be able to set your ownShipping Fees. You can compare the plans to see which is best for you. Thank you for your understanding.
