Looks like this is the end to selling on Amazon for me! Any advice?

So I had two complaints of products not being genuine.
1 was a spray that retails at rrp £6.99 full price. It was the genuine item that was sent (why would anyone fake something so cheap?) But the lady claimed it smelt different to the one she had previously.
I don’t know how old her product was, if she even had it anymore to actually compare or was going off memory but that was the one item.
The second was for an eye make up remover who another buyer said was fake as they developed a mild reaction too! If this was the case surely no product should ever be sold as someone somewhere will have had a reaction too.
I sent all in the documents requested, including receipts and contact information of suppliers.
But amazon didnt even contact my supplier who is a nationwide retailer in the UK.

Now my account is being reveiwed and someone will contact within 24 hours, however I work as a Paramedic and im on shift tomorrow. I cannot take a call if Im with a patient or driving, but if I miss the call the notice says it will suspend my account.

Im at a conudrum, what should I do about the orders tomorrow? I was planning on doing them before work and after I finish but if I put them through will the buyers see they have been dispatched and will funds get held?

To be honest I am at a point where Amazon is far more stressful than my day job so if this is really the way they treat genuine sellers then Im not really losing anything if I don’t sell here anymore. It was good whilst it lasted but its not the end of the world, thankfully my bills don’t really on the money I make here.

You have my sympathy my friend.
This is just 1 example of the complete lack of respect, decency, professionalism and contractual obligation meted out to all but the mighty sellers.

We all react to this treatment slightly different, a one degree or another, so if that reaction is more unbearable than the pleasure of the funds gained, then yes, get out now as it is extremely unlikely to get any better.

Have you informed them you will not be able to take calls tomorrow? I feel for you, I went through a similar situation and it took me 2 months to get my listings reinstated…

I’m not suggesting for a moment that the item you sold is fake, but a while ago my misses purchased a Rancho dressing from a well known American warehouse that trades in the UK. She said it tasted different to how it tasted previously and took it back. The warehouse said that the recipe had been changed and they refunded. Looks like products can change. Good luck with your account review.

Once an item has passed a retail point of sale according to Amazon’s policies it is no longer considered ‘new’ as it is second hand.

Obviously I don’t know the circumstances but it’s a sorry state of affairs where someone doing such an important job has to take on a second income to make ends meet. Best of luck with your appeal.

Amazon make it clear that if you may not be able to take the call then you can call them when it is convenient. Do that.

Thank you all.
I do plan to call them. We get a 30 min break on shift so I will call them but I don’t know what time it will be. It depends on the call volumes and priority of patient care. So I hope they don’t call before I get chance.

It would be really good if you posted the actual notice here, otherwise any advice could cause more harm than help.

Regarding the pre-suspension phone call, you can set your emergency phone number on this link:

https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/notifications/preferences/ref=xx_notifpref_dnav_xx

And you should put there a family member’s or a friend’s phone to accept the call on your behalf so you will be stress-free at work.

Once the phone call is answered (I can’t really help without seeing the notice), but I’m assuming you will be asked to submit a Plan of Action accompanied with invoices within 72 hours. Therefore you will be able to update this thread and get advice with the appeal.

As long as you have invoices, you have nothing to worry about. The POA is just a supplement, the invoices are the most important.

And the POA can be written based on the guide provided in my thread addressing Customer Product Complaints:

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/forums/t/appealing-used-sold-as-new-customer-product-condition-complaints/181143.

(The thread already helped multiple sellers get reinstated in cases of authenticity issues, as they are privately messaging me every day to let me know).

I feel your pain, I have had a few of my best sellers blocked as one customer said it wasn’t like the photo, even though the other 148 people who have brought it didn’t have a problem, Amazon blocked it due to one person and there stupid idea. They basically wanted a return without paying! Makes me so mad. Why does this happen??
