What is the use of Premium Two Day Shipping
Ok. So I have my standard parcels which I send out RM48. Then I have Premium delivery options for Two Day and One Day delivery.
Usually, to make sure I keep Premium delivery, I will post Two Day orders using Tracked24 and One Day orders using Special Delivery Next Day Guaranteed. A little overkill perhaps - but the postage charged reflects this.
Now - I buy my standard parcels via Amazon Buy Shipping, and usually I notice any Two Day and One Day orders and buy these via Click & Drop. The reason being is that if someone upgrades to Two Day - Amazon will still give me a RM48 label and if One Day Amazon gives me a Tracked24 label (if bought before 3pm) but a RM24 or sometimes a DPD label if bought after 3pm.
Today I missed seeing I had a Two Day order and just bought all labels via Amazon and I have been given a RM48 label (too late to change now) - the same as the rest of my orders. So that customer has paid a premium to have their order delivered exactly the same as my other orders.
I should have been paying more attention yes - but why does Amazon do this in the first place?
I am now thinking of disabling Two Day delivery completely and just offering One Day delivery and sending Tracked24

I’m the same and to be honest I have 3 postage methods either 2 day or 1 day or standard. If anyone orders 2 day or 1 day I send it next day regardless, anything else and it goes 48.
If you price the 2 day option within a penny of the 1 day option most will select the one day option but you still have the 2 day option if you want it and won’t get penalised for offering a better than advertised service.
