If I delete Parent SKU will i delete also CHILD SKUs?

Hi Guys,

So I have a couple of questions. I manually created product variations on two marketplaces, however i changed my mind and would like to get rid of the relationship and just keep the single references.

If i delete the Parent SKU from the inventory, will i delete also the childs skus (and lose all the reviews, etc) or will i just lose the relationship?

Also, in case i delete the Parent child from one marketplace, this change will it affect also other marketplaces? i don’t think so, since i have a different Parent ASINs for each marketplace.

Thank you for your time

If you delete the parent the relationship will break apart, the child ASINs will remain as separate listings.
All reviews will stay with whichever child ASIN the review was set against, so it probably won’t be an even split.
Each marketplace has its own variations so it will not affect others.

The relationship will NOT break apart if someone else has added to it, since they will also have the parent ASIN in their inventory.

Hi, glad i found this conversation. answers one of my questions. But can i please ask another.
I want to delete parent ASIN, which will separate the child ASINs. After that, I want to delete one child ASIN, and relist it because there is a product category issue for which SS has suggested to delete this ASIN and relist.
My question is when I relist it as stand-alone ASIN, without any variation and without parent, will it still link to my old listing (with reviews and sales history intact)? I want to make sure I don’t lose my reviews.
I will never use parent ASIN if this successfully happens.

Thanks in advance,
