Verification Process

The verification process is taking very long. I’ve been waiting for over a month or two and I have been charge twice without being able to sell. I have supplied all information and evidence but it seems the people verifying have no consideration for others.

I received a message -- Clarify if you intend to use your selling on Amazon account.

What does this mean?

I answered I intend to sell products on Amazon seller. Now I’m waiting for a response which can take up to 48hrs or 10days again and I will be charge again on the 16th of this month without selling one product this is unfair surly there should be a quicker way or a way to complain and get a refund for charges?

Waiting has got me frustrated as other competitors are fairly quick and it’s only to sell a product. I’ve listed on Amazon in the past and It wasn’t this difficult. I’m also a customer and the prices are not always the best and if you have every ordered from Amazon your parcel has come up missing before guaranteed. Maybe the staff need to go though a better verification process not us sellers and customers for example seller support/ customer service is unbelievably poor I’ve been cut off the phone 10times.

To be honest I feel like to attend the verification office to protest. But that will seem as inappropriate.

Please any advice? because clearly I have nothing else to do and I’ve waited so long.

PS when my account does get verified I’m not guaranteed to make sells without marketing the products myself on other platforms and paying for higher listings. So time is of the essence.

I assume the charge is the monthly £30 fee for the professional selling plan which you signed up for. You can downgrade the plan - go to Settings (cog wheel top right) - Account Info - Your Services - Manage, and downgrade to the individual selling plan. It will say pending until your next fee would be due.

You can request a refund of unused fees by opening a case with seller support 'Help' top right as you have not sold anything (at Amazon's discretion).

You say you have listed on Amazon in the past - did you open up a new seller account, or did you use an existing, seller account ? If you opened another account you will have a few issues to sort out.
