Dropshipping on Amazon

Dear All, good morning. I have just created my seller account and I will like to start drop shipping with amazon. Any ideas on where I can find good suppliers at minimum cost please? I am already subscribed on amazon seller account for FBA but what I want to do is drop ship with Amazon. Any help and advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

My top advice is to read Amazon’s policy which rules out a lot of drop shipping business models.

My second advice is once you start selling Amazon will ask you for invoices for some of your products. With drop shipping you will have trouble getting Amazon to accept them as either you won’t have them as you haven’t yet gotten an order for that specific item, or the quantities don’t match or the dates don’t align.

Finally, without wanting to be rude but perhaps am being, why would anyone give you info on good suppliers?

You have absolutely no chance of anyone giving a list of their suppliers, you would become direct competition to them. You need to spend your own time and do the research

BE VERY CAREFUL dropshipping, you have very strict rules to adhere to or your account will be suspended

I would appreciate if the regular forum posters would direct message me your most profitable lines, who your suppliers are, your contact at the suppliers, the price you are paying and a recommendation I am a lovely person

Drop Shipping Policy

Drop shipping, or allowing a third party to fulfil orders to customers on your behalf, is generally acceptable. If you intend to fulfil orders using a drop shipper you must always:

  • be the seller of record of your products;
  • identify yourself as the seller of your products on all package slips and other information included or provided in connection with them;
  • be responsible for accepting and processing customer returns of your products; and
  • comply with all other terms of your seller agreement and applicable Amazon policies.

Examples of drop shipping that are not permitted:

  • purchasing products from another online retailer and having that retailer shipping directly to customers; or
  • shipping orders with packing slips, invoices or other information indicating a seller name or contact information other than your own.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the suspension or removal of your selling privileges.

Yes, you buy from other sellers. Have the goods shipped directly to your customer. Claim INR or not as described and get a refund. Words fail me when I see people asking such questions on the forum.

@Ravensbourne_E-Comme - really ? you should do your research - do you honestly think you will get good supplier info here !?! It takes time to find good suppliers, trial and error, years of experience - as I am sure many forum members will agree

You will have huge problems dropshipping if your plan is to use FBA as you need the stock to send to amazon in the first place, as amazon send the item to the customer. Read, read and read some more on here and seller university

Stunned that anyone would come on here and ask that question. If you don’t already know what you are going to sell before you opened your account you won’t last long on Amazon.

Will you be offering payment for all our suppliers?
