Account verification with Persona

Got this email supposedly from Amazon but worried it is a scam. Messaged Amazon after first receiving it but assured my account health was OK and that I had already been verified. However, have now received the mail again. Don't want my account deactivated but equally not sure about giving ID information to third party, Persona. Has anyone got experience of whether this is genuine or not? If fraudulent why doesn't Amazon warn about it?

It sounds to me without a doubt like a scam/phishing email, especially the part which says "After completion, we will review the details and get back to you within 72 hours".
