Sudden ranking collapse across European marketplaces, with Amazon Retail products dominating top search results!!!
Hi everyone,
I am trying to understand whether there has been a broader search ranking or catalogue change across Amazon’s European marketplaces today.
Several sellers in different groups have reported a very similar pattern:
Products that previously ranked near the top of their category or search results have suddenly fallen sharply, in some cases from the top 50 to around 40,000 or becoming difficult to find at all.
Search results that previously contained a normal mix of third party offers now appear to be heavily dominated by products sold by Amazon Retail.
Some sellers have reported that their Best Sellers Rank is no longer visible or that their product ranking has effectively disappeared.
The issue appears to be affecting European marketplaces. At the time of checking, sellers had not observed the same widespread pattern in the US marketplace.
This does not appear to be limited to one ASIN, account or category. Multiple independent sellers reported the same change at approximately the same time.
The most concerning part is that products with stable sales histories and previously strong rankings appear to have lost visibility almost immediately, without any obvious corresponding change in sales performance, listing status, inventory or account health.
This raises several possible questions:
Has Amazon changed the European search ranking algorithm?
Is there a temporary indexing, catalogue or Best Sellers Rank issue?
Has the weighting of Amazon Retail offers within organic search results changed?
Are third party seller listings being temporarily excluded or significantly deprioritised?
Could this be a reporting delay affecting BSR and search placement rather than a permanent ranking change?
Has anyone else seen the same pattern today in the UK or EU marketplaces?
It would be useful if affected sellers could share:
Marketplace
Category
Approximate previous ranking
Current ranking or visibility
Whether the listing is still indexed
Whether sales and sessions have also dropped
Whether Amazon Retail products are now occupying most of the leading search positions
I am posting this to identify whether this is a widespread system issue or a deliberate ranking change, rather than an isolated listing problem.

Yes, our product is showing #1000 in seller central (we were best seller) Health & Personal Care category. but then dropped to #20000 (now sitting #30 in the category). We still index for the keywords.
I have contacted seller support.

Same with us.
We've lost BSR ranking and best seller badges across multiple products and categories in UK and all EU countries.
Shocked that there is no update from Amazon regarding this..

same with us.
Only Amazon items are now indexed
Items that where bestsellers have disappeared

I have the same issue this morning.
I have over 1000 notifications about category changes on my products. Checked them and they have no sales rank in any category.
Checked a few "top 100" sales and for example the top 5 lines in "Mens Slippers" are sandals?!
I have products that were ranked literally 3000 in fashion yesterday and are now 250k in fashion this morning, its impossible to drop that much in 12 hours.

Same issue here. From best seller to #46 in category

We are having same issue with Sports & Outdoors categories.
Dropped from best seller to 157. Across all EU accounts our BSR has dropped and also looks like our products were either not searchable or buyable for around 5 hours.
Spoken to Amazon support and they've said that the technicians have identified the route cause and have resolved the issue and they are waiting for this to reflect in the catalogue. They also said BSR will be reinstated to what they were before the issue and to contact seller support if this is not the case.

Similar isue. I have spoken with specialist support who have confrimed an issue across UK and EU marketplaces which devs are working to resolve. It has been worked on since 0523 this morning apparently.

Yes, we are experiencing this aswell. Our sales are down 22 percent compared to yesterday when this was not the case. Whether this is the reason or something else we are not sure. Amazon will need to treat this as a priority fix. We are spending money on ads to keep best seller badges and rank and they have just disappeared overnight.
