I am relatively new to Amazon selling and need some help.

I need to do a partial update on my listings to fix a brand linking issue. All my listing were added manually using the add product wizard. However, to do a partial update, Amazon is saying I need to upload a spreadsheet of my listings.

Is there a way to download a pre-filled spreadsheet of existing listings?

Or do I have to download a blank template and fill in by copying and pasting all information from listing?

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the change Amazon has made to editing listings recently?

Previously I could edit listings for our own Brand simply by changing the original listing file (I tend to create listings using the Excel template upload method) and uploading it with "Partial Update" selected - all the changed fields would update within a few hours. This was fine.

Recently this has changed so that using the upload file does not work, even for our own Brand. I run the file, it looks like it has worked, with no errors), but then nothing changes. I've contacted Seller Support (aka bashed my head against a brick wall a few times before someone vaguely competent replied), and got the reply that I should delete the effected listings for 24 hours, then re-upload the update file. I couldn't believe this was the solution, but I tried it and it seems that it is.

Since when has this been a thing, and who thought that it would be a good idea to require sellers to remove listings for 24 hours (ie remove items from sale for 24 hours) in order to update a few fields? How is that a change that even benefits customers? Definitely doesn't count as progress in my book!

Today we have noticed that lots of our listings have been de-activated overnight with no warning. We did not create the listings but had offers active on all of them. I have spoken to Amazon Customer Service and got the response to say that they match all products to a central EAN database and have found that these listings hold incorrect EAN details so they have been de-activated. I have been running through them and comparing the EAN's to the brand owner / suppliers invoice and they are all correct? We have tried to create fresh listings for these brands but say that we need brand approval but have held this and listed against these brands for many years, any ideas on how to overcome this? Also any advice on what to do with our FBA inventory for these products as they now show as stranded? If we create new listings for these items, can we merge our FBA stock in to the new listings or do we need to create a removal request and resend it back in? Any advice would be great. Thank you 🙏
