Read onlyHello Amazon Sellers,
I’m facing a frustrating situation and would appreciate any advice or help from those who have dealt with similar issues.
I am the original designer of B07RMWCFF2, which I began selling on Amazon in July 2019. The Socket Safe is a hidden safe designed to look like an EU wall socket. I invested significant time and effort into creating this unique product in collaboration with manufacturers in China.
I discovered that a competitor has copied my design and is selling it under ASIN B08FBJ67SN. They replicated my design entirely! Including instruction manual and keys! To make matters worse, after already copying my product, the seller, representing a brand called Elder Welder, reached out to me in 2022, asking if I would sell them the exclusive rights to my product.
I’ve reported this infringement to Amazon, but I’m still waiting for resolution. first claim was declined, since i added more new evidence. I have a lot of supporting evidence, including:
Emails and records proving I am the original designer.
Photos from when I visited the manufacturers to finalize the design in early 2019.
An email from the infringing seller acknowledging my product after they had already copied it.

Has anyone here gone through something similar?
How did Amazon handle your case?
Were you able to claim any compensation for lost sales or damages?
Any tips for making sure Amazon takes appropriate action?
Any advice or insight would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Do you have any protection for your product, i.e. patent, design registration, brand registration at the IPO etc? If so you have a case, if you do not then you will struggle to uphold anything, and pursuing copyright claims is expensive, takes a long time and rarely gets any reward. I wish you good luck, but there is an old motto, get in early, make your money, get out quick, and if someone offers to buy your design, negociate and move on to the next idea!
