Pending orders - help

Hi, why are all of my orders in pending status. I get that sometimes an order goes in pending if Amazon is unable to verify the buyers payment method, but for example yesterday I had 20 orders and every single one of them is in pending? Any ideas?

it just means amazon can’t take payments off the buyers cards - either out of date cards used or no funds

the customers will be messaged so they’ll either pay or the items will go back into inventory and the order cancelled - although that can take a few weeks

oh and if its FBA it just buyers without prime accounts so are ordering on standard delivery not next day delivery

normally get a few of these leading up to pay days for low stock level items, but there has been a big increase in the number of pending for me and cancellations so I guess its Amazon’s systems creaking under all the changes they are making.

Thanks for your replies - there is definitely something wrong with FBA as I have had some merchant fulfilled orders, they are fine and have shipped those this morning, but all FBA ones are still in pending (3 days now) - amazon are literally unreachable and just come back with the same copied and pasted message every single time.

Pending is also down to card fund clearance we often have 15/20 orders a day in pending out of 60/70 depending on the day some go straight through some go to pending.

As I suspected, every single order has been cancelled by amazon and lost me well over £200 in sales. They honestly wonder why they get the rep that they do…
