EFN sales, do you have to pay VAT in UK as well?

by Seller_JpzEPYwySBek3

Hey guys, just doing my vat return and i wanted to clarify as i cant seem to find a definite answer, do you have to pay vat to hmrc on sales via efn?
I know Amazon takes vat at point of sale and remits it to the relevant country but then do we also have to pay vat to the UK out of the sale?

The vat is removed from the UK sale and added to the EU one.
So it is essentially a zero rated sale, as the vat is paid by Amazon in the EU.

I’d suggest that you speak to your accountant about it.
