Regardless of whether the buyer wants to answer you, if it is within the returns window, then they have the right to return.
If not, but they are claiming defective, then they can still return it.
Otherwise, it’s just a case of denying the return.

They claim accidental as the reason, i had a look at the criteria for sealed returns and it states that is should be sealed or it can’t be returned

As the other sellers have said - answer the return and quote Amazons own policy (copy and paste it after you have searched it so you can get it word for word) and tell them you are quite happy to accept the return as long as it is new and still sealed as you sent it , if it comes back and its not - take photos and if they put in a claim show Amazon your photos and quote Amazons own Guidelines back to them as that is their policy - hope that helps

I have just had one of these on a sealed cassette, wish I had seen this thread but I did remember that sealed media fell outside the Amz guarantee if the item had been opened. I found the relevant bit in the policy to quote and then explained how to open a return request IF the item was still sealed.

My buyers husband said that someone had used his wife’s details off Ebay and that the item was uncalled for. Which as far as I’m concerned is fraud but as I said in my reply I’m not sure why the item should be sent to the buyer, usually it is diverted to another address!

Bet she has listened to it and wants her money back.

I haven’t had a response to my email yet so will email them again tomorrow, better for me to be proactive I think. They haven’t put in a formal return request as yet.

Just to follow up on this, I received the item back opened so contacted customer support and mentioned the item had been used. They said it’s up to you if you decide to refund but they also said that I can report the buyer. I reported the buyer for breaking the return policy and didn’t send a refund. Then I just waited to see what they would do, amazon said I would not hear from them as what they say to the buyer was confidential and up to now not heard nothing. So maybe reporting a buyer helps
