Listing With Fake Brands - Banned From Selling

We are new to amazon so want to see how it works with businesses selling products from global well know brands under their own brand name eg: {Moderator Edit (Sakura) ASIN link removed}

this is a box of revels chocolates sold as brand {Moderator Edit (Sakura) storename removed}

clearly the brand should be "revels"

we were blocked from selling on this listing due to the {Moderator Edit (Sakura) storename removed} brand name

so is this right? or not?

as this other listing for the same product

{Moderator Edit (Sakura) ASIN link removed}

is being sold under the brand name of {Moderator Edit (Sakura) storename removed} and multiple sellers - including {Moderator Edit (Sakura) storename removed} - are selling this listing..

just want to make sure we comply with the rules when selling generic global products which are not unique to the seller who listed them

They should NOT do that, however amazon do nothing to stop it.

Its Brand Registry, and amazon have allowed it to get completely out of control.

Products should be listed via their barcode. If no barcode exists, you should get GTIn exemption, and may need to get Brand approval as well.

If you do take the risk of listing on one of those listings, you will likely find the brand who created the listing will kick you off.

Hello @Seller_QngOguTpBSoOo

This is Sakura from Amazon.

If you believe that the ASIN might violate Amazon policies, you can use the Report Abuse tool, and the specific team will investigate it.

Here you can find more information about reporting the violation: Report a violation.

Also, I am sharing the  Amazon Brand Name policy, as it may refer to your topic.

Regards,

Sakura

I've just reported a violation similar to the one the OP has talked about.

A seller has abused Brand Registry to register a brand the same as their store front, and have then listed products that are clearly well known brands under their own store brand.

I'll update how we get on - because I highly doubt anything will happen.

Hello Sellers,

The issue raised by you is under investigation.

However, to support it better, I would like to collect more data, hence, I would appreciate your collaboration.

If you spot that the brand on the PDP does not match the product, please follow the below steps:

  • Under What kind of abuse do you want to report? Choose - > An abuse issue that is not addressed by the other topics in this menu - > provide ASIN or product URL
  • Follow this guidelines to provide all necessary information
  • Share the case ID of the submission here

Thank you in advance,
