Packaging for proteins
Hello,
My first product for selling on Amazon FBA is going to be organic pumpkin seed protein powder 350g packed by the producer in kraft-paper stand-up pouches laminated inside with aluminium foil. When I listed my product, I needed to tick from the list given, what is the product category, in case of any preparation or packaging requirements. I have chosen “powder” and for that I need poly bags which later on I bought and sent to my supplier. However I have ordered similar product (cacao powder) packed in the same pouch and it was delivered to me by Amazon FBA, but I received it without poly bag. I wonder whether I’ve chosen the right category for my product and maybe poly bags are not necessary for proteins which are packed in pouches. How can I check that? Thanks

Your product is already packaged so no need for poly bag.

Or polybag just in case the packaging gets punctured and the powder goes everywhere?
Bit like buying bags of sugar or flour in the supermarket, you can guarantee if you don’t put them in a little fruit and veg see through bag they will explode all over the rest of your shopping!
The powdered items we have sent in are packaged, but in a polybag just in case.
Amazon may tell you it’s not correct if you haven’t polybagged, or not care. Do what you think is right.
